grad,gress(gred) = to go,to walk（走）
grad和gress 為同源異形根，grad來自拉丁動(dòng)詞gradi 意為to go,to walk（走），step（步）或來自拉丁名詞gradus,意為step（步）；gress來自gradi的動(dòng)名詞詞干，意思跟詞根grad一樣。它們的變形為gred。同義詞根有來自拉丁
語(yǔ)的ced/cess(cead,ceas),it,vad/vas 和來自希臘語(yǔ)的bat(bet,bit)以及來自盎格魯-撒克遜語(yǔ)的fare。
