In the very front of the axis is a temple-gate, in which are bells and drum-towers on each side.Straight to the north of the gate is the Heaven King Hall, which often contains an enterclose.
主軸線上最前方為山門，門內(nèi)左右有鐘、鼓樓，門北正面為天王殿，多做成穿堂。
Small temples usually have only one or two yards.Just behind the temple gate is the Main Hall, on each side of which are monks’ dormitories and after the enterclose is also a back hall.
小型的寺廟，一般只有一到兩進院落，一進山門迎面就是大殿，兩廂為僧房，二進的后面還有一座后殿。
