基本解釋

joke的基本意思是“笑話,玩笑”,指引人發(fā)笑的談話或故事,也指供人當(dāng)作笑料的事情?？捎米骺蓴?shù)名詞,也可用作不可數(shù)名詞。
joke作“可笑的人、事物、情形”解時(shí),多用于單數(shù)形式,可與不定冠詞連用。

joke作動(dòng)詞時(shí)意思是“開(kāi)玩笑”“取笑”,不僅指“言”,而且還指“行”,是不及物動(dòng)詞,常用于進(jìn)行體。
“和某人開(kāi)玩笑”是joke with sb; “拿某事開(kāi)玩笑”是joke about sth; “拿某事和某人開(kāi)玩笑”是joke with sb about sth。習(xí)語(yǔ)You must be〔have got to be〕 joking的意思是“你一定是(在)開(kāi)玩笑”。
