yet用于否定句和疑問句中及用于表示懷疑的動(dòng)詞之后,意思是“還,尚,仍然,直至現(xiàn)在”,在英式英語中通常用于現(xiàn)在或過去完成時(shí),在美式英語中通常用于一般過去時(shí)。
yet用于疑問句中,還可作“已經(jīng)”“還”“仍然”解,通常放在句末。

You use yet in negative statements to indicate that something has not happened up to the present time, although it probably will happen. You can also use yet in questions to ask if something has happened up to the present time.

If you say that something should not or cannot be done yet, you mean that it should not or cannot be done now, although it will have to be done at a later time.
