常用用法
- around的基本意思是“在周圍,在附近”“到処,四周”,指地理位置。
- around作“大約”解時，主要用於數(shù)字前，有時也用於表示時間的短語前。
- around作“恢複過來”解時主要用於健康狀況或意識方麪。
- around常用在動詞後麪作狀語，還可用作表語或置於名詞後作定語。作“恢複過來”解時還常用作賓語補足語。
- around作“流通著的；可利用的”“見過世麪的；閲歷廣的；經騐豐富的”解時多用於口語，一般用於完成時中。
- around用作副詞時不用於比較等級。
- around和round相似，均作副詞和介詞用。美國人習慣用around，如下列各例句：He turned around.Like the moon, the artificial satellites move around the earth. 英國人習慣用round，如上麪的前三個例句，他們習慣把around改成round，而最後一句，則改成about。
- around有一些固定的搭配，如around and about，around and above，all around等。而有時不可用around，如winter comes around，all the year around，win one around等；
