- assume的基本意思是“想儅然”,即指人假定某事物是真實的,它可以指事物本身的真實性,也可以表示事物會發(fā)生什麼樣的結(jié)果。
- assume作“假設(shè)”解時,指在証據(jù)很少或者存有異議時,甚至在根本沒有証據(jù)的情況下進(jìn)行推測,含有較強的武斷成分。

- assume後可接that從句,表示“假定某人會…”。
