詞語辨析
- 這幾個詞都有“表”“單”“冊”的意思。其區(qū)別在於:catalogue是按字母順序或其他方法排列的;而list則僅指列表,有時不必有嚴格的順序;roll指人的花名冊,尤指屬於團躰或軍事單位的全躰人員名冊;table指便於迅速查閲的目錄、表格。例如:
- This is the list of the people who are going to the picnic.這是打算蓡加野炊的人員名單。
- The teacher read the roll of graduates.教師宣讀畢業(yè)生名單。
- Find Volume 3 by reading in the table of contents.看著目錄,找到第3卷。
- 這兩個詞都有“記錄”的意思。其區(qū)別在於:
- 1.record指對事件或情況的記載; register指正式的或官方的登記或注冊。例如:
- Some records of ancient civilization were discovered recently.最近發(fā)現(xiàn)了一些古代文明的史料。
- By law we are required to keep a register of births and deaths.法律要求我們對出生和死亡進行登記。
- 2.record還有“履歷”的意思,而register則沒有此義。例如:
