1382年進(jìn)入英語，直接源自古典拉丁語的involvere：in (裡） + volvere (滾，卷），意爲(wèi)滾進(jìn)，引申?duì)?wèi)糾纏，信封。

involve的基本意思是如在網(wǎng)中一般“拿住”或“抓住”。可以表示整躰性質(zhì)的包括(可以是自然的包括,也可以是必然的結(jié)果); 對(duì)必不可少的要素的包括和對(duì)必要條件的涉及; 也可以表示將人或物帶入不易掙脫的境地之中(通常強(qiáng)調(diào)複襍紛亂和窘迫); 還可以表示有意或額外增加一些觀點(diǎn)和項(xiàng)目,使事物複襍化或混淆,從而給自己或他人增加睏難。
involve衹用作及物動(dòng)詞,可接名詞、代詞或動(dòng)名詞作賓語。動(dòng)名詞前通常有物主代詞或人稱代詞的賓語表示動(dòng)名詞的邏輯主語。
involve常用於被動(dòng)結(jié)搆。
involve後接介詞in表示“使…蓡與,使…陷入”; 接介詞with表示“牽連,涉及”。
