year的基本意思是“年”,指地球繞太陽(yáng)一周所需要的時(shí)間,通常爲(wèi)365天,有時(shí)也爲(wèi)366天,也可指與某物有關(guān)的“一年的時(shí)間”。year也可指一個(gè)人的“年齡,年嵗”,還可指“學(xué)年,年度”。
year表示“…嵗的”時(shí),其後通常要加old一詞,此時(shí)year前後都須有連字符,且不可用複數(shù)形式。
years在表示“好幾年”時(shí),前麪一般不加many。如果指幾十年,甚至更長(zhǎng)的時(shí)間,則不能用years。
year of之後往往不搭用年份的數(shù)目,除非前麪有定語(yǔ)。
