yes的基本意思是“是”,還可指“不錯(cuò)”“好的”等,通常與肯定句連用。
yes可用於對某事作出肯定的答複或用以表示某一說法正確或說話人同意某一觀點(diǎn); 或表示同意某人的要求。yes也可用以表示接受邀請或提議,或答應(yīng)呼喚,還可以表示詢問某人之所需。yes有時(shí)還用來對自己的話加以肯定或用來更正對方說的話。在口語裡, yes有時(shí)能用以搆成反意疑問句,但與yes搆成這種反意疑問句呼應(yīng)的主句卻不必非是否定形式不可,也可以是肯定形式。
yes在廻答一個(gè)否定疑問句時(shí),如果答案是肯定的,廻答要用yes。
