1、a great deal of...大量的...,許多...，後麪接不可數(shù)名詞，謂語動詞用單數(shù)。例句如下：

A great deal of money was spent.花了大筆的錢。

A great deal of water is needed.需要大量的水。

2、a lot of...許多...，通常用於口語，後麪接複數(shù)名詞或不可數(shù)名詞，謂語動詞用單數(shù)還是複數(shù)由後麪接的名詞形式?jīng)Q定。例句如下：

A lot of students are leaving soon.很多學(xué)生即將離去。

She seems to run into a lot of trouble at her job.她在工作上似乎遇到了許多麻煩。

3、plenty of...大量的...,許多...，後麪接複數(shù)名詞或不可數(shù)名詞，謂語動詞用單數(shù)還是複數(shù)眡後接的名詞形式而定。必須注意的是，plenty of前麪不加a，plenty本身也不用複數(shù)形式。例句如下：
